Tadlock PTA Board
2017 - 2018
Our PTA is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Get to know their names and faces, and feel free to ask them if you have questions.
President - Amy Mahrer
My name is Amy Mahrer and I'm the PTA president this year (and a part time pre K teacher). I served as the PTA treasurer for the past two years. I have a 3rd grader, a 1st grader and a 2 year old. Before I was a Tadlock mom, I was a Tadlock teacher for three years when the school first opened. I was even on the board then as the teacher liaison. I have always wanted to be involved with the PTA and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to do it with an amazing board and fabulous school community. I have made incredible friendships being at Tadlock. I can't imagine being anywhere else. I am passionate about Tadlock and it is my hope you will be, too!
V.P. Membership - Betsy Scogin
Former Frisco ISD teacher, mom to a 1st grader and 4th grader at Tadlock and 7th grader at Maus. This is my 4th year on the board. I love all the programs we bring in for the students' education and enjoyment, and the family activities we provide, like Game Night and Sock Hop!
V.P. Programs - Valerie Martin
This is my sixth year on the board serving the students and staff at Tadlock. I am involved with the PTA because I believe it's important to show my kiddos that their school is worth supporting and I have also made some great friends along the way. I have two boys at Tadlock, Ryan is in 4th grade and Kyle is in 1st grade, and my daughter is in 6th grade at Maus. I look forward to a great year and hope to meet new people and make new friends. Come join us at an event this year! :-)

My name is Anne Taylor. I have been on the board at Tadlock for the last 9 years. I am also on the board at Maus Middle School. I have 2 children at Tadlock, Jeanne in 5th grade and Jillian in 3rd grade. My son Will is an 8th grader at Maus. In addition to volunteering at my children's schools, I work for my father's company as Director of Operations. Fortunately, my job is very flexible allowing me to spend time at Tadlock and Maus. I love Tadlock, because of the amazing teachers and staff, as well as the families that make up the Tadlock community. Many of my best friends are people who I came to know while volunteering at Tadlock. I am looking forward to another great year at Tadlock!
Secretary - April Walker
This is my third year on the Board. I have held the positions of Secretary and Council Delegate. I love giving back to the school and supporting the staff and teachers.

My name is Amanda Keelen. This will be my third year serving on the Tadlock PTA and my first year as treasurer. I am a stay at home mom to two boys - Zach is in 3rd and Bennett is in Kindergarten. I love that my boys are still exited to see me volunteering at their school! Tadlock has always been such a welcoming place for our family and I look forward to serving our school and teachers for many more years.
Aid to the President - Kelly Tarricone
This is my first year on the board, and I joined to become a part of such a great school and community. I'm looking forward to an exciting 10th anniversary year of Tadlock. I have three children. Henley is in the 3rd grade, Neesy is in the 1st grade, and my son Cal is 2 and starting preschool this year. I enjoy running, reading and being with family and friends. I love the teachers and administrators at Tadlock and how much they genuinely care about all their students. They go out of their way to encourage and support our kids in all that they do, and I think that is what makes Tadlock so great.
Arts & Education- Jessie Hagan
My name is Jessie Hagan and both of my girls are at Tadlock this year, Kinder and 3rd grade. Luckily we got this puppy over the summer so I'm not lonely when they're both gone this school year, meet Betty. I first joined the PTA Board in 2015 to focus my volunteer efforts at the school in a more dedicated and specific way. I enjoy helping out, staying in the loop, and meeting some great friends along the way. And my girls like seeing my face around school from time to time. I'll soak that up while they're still little and not yet embarrassed by the presence of their Mom.
Book Fair - Michelle Flannigan
My name is Michelle Flannigan. I am the Bookfair Chair and have been on the PTA board since 2014. I have a 4th grader, Nolan, a 1st grader, John, and a 4 year old, Leah. I joined PTA because I think it is important to be involved in my community and I love to help out and get to know my kids' friends. I love Tadlock because I feel like everyone there, from teachers and staff to volunteers, is there to help each and every kid who attends the school.

Hi, my name is Sharina Edwards and I’m thrilled to be serving on the Tadlock PTA board as Healthy living and Environmental Chair this year. I have one son in Tadlock entering the first grade and another going into Maus this year. My family and I have been residents of Frisco for ten years and have witnessed the incredible growth of our community. My goal is to promote health and wellness throughout the school year by encouraging physical activity, healthy eating and environmental awareness. I invite everyone to participate in the fun activities planned for students and families. I am looking forward to helping our students be the best they can and wish everyone an excellent school year!!!
Historian - Chriszelda Sabedra
Hello my name is Chriszelda Sabedra and I am Historian this year for Tadlock Elementary. I plan to capture all the fun moments and events students will be having this school year!! I work part time at Children's Hospital and I am married to my husband Greg, who volunteers as a Watch Dog and we have two kids. Our son Isiah is a third grader this year and our daughter Ava is 4 and will be here next year as a Tadlock student! I volunteered and helped out when my son was in kindergarten, then decided to join and be an actual PTA board member. I have been a board member for 3 years now and I have enjoyed it every year. I served as Room Parent Coordinator for two years and now Historian. I joined because I wanted to meet more parents, make new friends, help the teachers and students out with events, projects, and also to give back to the school. I am always looking for ways to volunteer and give back my time where I know it befits my kids or others. Tadlock is a great school and the teachers and staff are amazing!! I enjoy the fact that every teacher and staff member know each and every student by name and are always there for them. #tadlockrocks
Hospitality - Lesley Greer
My name is Leslie Greer. I have been on the board since my boys were in first grade as both the environmental chair and the historian. I have fifth grade twin boys so this will be my last year at Tadlock. This year I will serve as the hospitality chair. Hospitality is always looking for friendly faces that would like to help make our wonderful staff smile.
Parliamentarian - Katie Casanova
I joined the board to be more involved in the school my kids attend (or will soon attend!) and also to meet more people in our neighborhood and community. This is my second year on the board - last year I served as newsletter coordinator and this year I'm serving as parliamentarian. My oldest is entering first grade this year. We also have a 4 year old and one scheduled to make a debut sometime early-mid September. Our family loves Tadlock and its role as a centering point for our community. We are looking forward to many more years at our neighborhood school!

I look forward to working with the Tadlock community to make it a great school year.
Spirit Wear - Tara Moore
I am a mom to Preston in 4th grade and Greyson in 1st. They are my favorite people and while they keep me busy, when I have time to myself, I love being with my friends and catching up. This will be my second year serving on the board. I joined PTA board as a way to meet other parents after I "retired" from teaching. It was important to me to still be involved in education and of course it's a bonus I get to be around my own kids while helping.

My name is Kara Good and I have a 1st grader (Allie) and a 5th grader (Andrew) at Tadlock. I loved school as a kid and I have found being at the school brought back those memories - the sounds, the safe feeling, even the smells. (I know - gross, right?) My favorite thing about Tadlock is the welcoming feeling and the volunteers we have (all with different backgrounds) all working toward the same goal. This is my 5th year on the board; I have served as the Treasurer, President, and now as the Volunteer Coordinator. If you would like to receive emails about volunteer opportunities or have any questions about volunteering in general please reach out to me!
